The versatile nature of the unit includes a recess for the modified Martindale specimen head. This enables the fabric to be assessed during the test procedure, whilst still mounted on the head.

To optimise consistency of viewing conditions the unit comprises of electronic ballasts, and specially selected white reflectors. The standard light source supplied with the unit is the D65 Artificial Daylight”.

Though, an option of CWF is available as specified by certain retailers.
